Health Benefits of Turmeric, MSM & Fulvic Acid

by | May 27, 2015 | Holistic Health, Vitamins & Supplements

Hello my healthy readers,

Well, here we are at the end of the supplement series and although the previous supplements are all a very important part of our regiment; I saved the best for last! I guess I shouldn’t say “best”, but definitely most interesting and probably over looked. During the last post I was able to share symptoms related to deficiencies of the mentioned vitamins.

The supplements I plan to discuss today fall closer to the super-food category. For the most part you will experience no “deficiency” symptoms. There are so many super foods out there, but having tried them all at one time or another the ones listed below actually made the cut. We do enjoy other super-foods very, very often. However, we don’t pressure ourselves to find the time or money to consume them daily.

Health Benefits of: Turmeric, MSM & Fulvic Acid

is a super-food I’m sure you have heard about, but what’s so great about it? Here’s a short list of the 150+ known benefits:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Slows and helps reverse age related mental decline and Alzheimer’s
  • Fights cancer cells and keeps them from metastasizing
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Potent antioxidant
  • Promotes heart, liver, brain, metabolic, digestive and eye health
  • Improves skin conditions such as eczema, acne and psoriasis

I don’t know about you, but in my book that is a pretty impressive list knowing there are 100+ not listed! We currently use a liquid form of the supplement that we purchase through and it is called Organic Turmeric Gold. A great way to ingest this amazing super-food is through Turmeric Tea also called Golden Milk. Find a recipe online that suits your liking and try it out!

The second supplement I want to discuss today is called MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) an organic sulfur compound. Let’s take a quick look at the benefits of taking MSM:

  • It is referred to as the “beauty mineral” – it will have your hair and skin looking amazing!
  • Helps protect against the effects of stress
  • Improves uptake of oxygen
  • Relieves constipation
  • Anti-Cancer
  • Anti-Parasitic
  • Muscle relaxer
  • Pain reliever
  • Antioxidant
  • Improves allergic response
  • Aids in detoxification

There are entire websites dedicated to reporting the findings of MSM’s benefits on health. I suggest you do a quick search on MSM and do some reading. Your jaw will drop when you realize all of the amazing things this inexpensive supplement can do for your health.

Fulvic Acid

Most of you have heard about Turmeric. A good portion of you have probably heard about MSM, but have any of you ever heard about Fulvic Acid?

Well, I hope you are because I kind of built it up, lol! Here is a little clip from :

Reported claims of benefits are little short of astonishing.

For internal use they are:

  • Increased energy
  • Alleviates anemia
  • Chelates body toxins
  • Reduces high blood pressure
  • Increases potency of vitamin & mineral supplements
  • Magnifies the effect of herbal teas and tinctures
  • Chelates all monovalent and divalent metals
  • Is a powerful natural electrolyte
  • Restores electrochemical balance
  • Stimulates body enzyme systems
  • Helps rebuild the immune system

Reported claims of external beneficial use:

  • Treating open wounds
  • Healing burns with minimum pain or scarring
  • Eliminating discoloration due to skin bruises
  • Killing pathogens responsible for athletes foot
  • Acting as a wide spectrum anti-microbial and fungicide
  • Treating rashes and skin irritations
  • Helping to heal cuts and abrasions
  • Helping heal insect bites and spider bites
  • Neutralizing poison ivy and poison oak.

The real reason we consider fulvic acid to be such an important part of our daily regiment is because many Medical Doctors turned Holistic practitioners recommend it for cancer patients. Again, this is something that I urge you to research and read about for yourself. There is so much information available on this one supplement that is also has entire websites sharing the science. You can buy it here.

    Hi Amanda Jo,

Turmeric is certainly an interesting food. Most of the studies on turmeric have been done using turmeric extracts that contain mostly curcumin, the active ingredient. The doses they used were usually over 1 gram a day. It would be hard to get this amount from using turmeric powder in cooking as so many sites suggest.

I don’t know about the liquid organic Turmeric gold that you mention but I’m sure that coming from Mike Adams it is a good product.

I’ve been trying to get some fresh turmeric to put in my smoothies but it hasn’t reached my local supermarkets yet. I would like to try the Organic Turmeric Gold but I can’t see that anyone here in the UK is stocking it yet. Is it new?

I’ve enjoyed reading your series on supplements. I’m a great believer in supplements too. Wishing you a long and healthy life,

Sandy, thank you so very much for your kind words! and might I say how much joy it brings me to see our readers doing research on their own! You sure know what you’re talking about! I regret that it has taken me so long to reply, but wish the same long and healthy life to you and yours. I am unsure of a supplier in the UK. I don’t why I have always been under the impression that Mike Adams distributes goods world wide. I will have to look into that. So sorry, I couldn’t be a better resource for you in that regard. However, hopefully you will be able to locate a reliable source soon.
