DIY Hibiscus Rose Therapeutic Bath Salts

Jun 2, 2016 | Bath & Shower, Natural Beauty & Cleaning

Namaste Crunchy Homemakers,

If you’re a frequent visitor, then you know that I am a pretty big fan of bath salts! In fact, I have a few posts on how to take detox baths using bath salts and the importance of taking detox baths. However, assuming that you have that knowledge of its importance, I am going to skip that part for today and head straight into a new recipe that was created back during Valentine’s Day!

Yes ladies and gentlemen (hey, men can take salt baths too!!) this recipe is perfect for a Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, heck even your average everyday soak, if your tub is big enough you can make it a party for two! And if you’re a mama like me… your party of two is most likely you and your tot! But there’s no reason why we both can look good for our main man!

This bath is truly a luxurious one! With the help of Epsom salts, Himalayan Pink Sea Salt, and the added benefits of rose EO, rose and hibiscus flowers we are rejuvenating our skin and hair simply by relaxing! Be sure to buy high quality and organic herbs & flowers when using bath salts, you can find them here.

Rose Essential Oil Benefits:

  • Improves your skin health (helps with acne, old age, rosacea, and more)
  • Boosts libido
  • Strengthens hair and tones skin
  • Reduces depression
  • and more!

Hibiscus Benefits:

  • Great for overall scalp and hair health
  • Increase skin elasticity as well as evens skin tone
  • natural skin moisturizer
  • and more!

DIY Hibiscus Rose Therapeutic Bath Salts

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a food processor or blender, blend the hibiscus and rose buds until they become a powdery form. (You don’t have to make it a powder, I just find that it goes down the drain a lot easier in this form)
  2. add your salts and blend for a few more seconds to crack the larger rocks.
  3. add your rose EO mix with a large wooden spoon and pour into air tight container.

Be sure to snap a photo & hashtag #omlivin during or after making this recipe! I would love to know how it turned out for you!
