Homemade Honey Pumpkin Face Mask DIY

Namaste Crunchy Homemakers,

We have about one week until the Autumnal Equinox is here & I couldn’t be more excited! Obviously a great way to celebrate this year’s fall season would be to create ALL THINGS PUMPKIN!

Right??

And what better way to start off this fall pumpkin season than by creating something to treat yourself to? A nice relaxing pumpkin facial mask!

Pumpkin isn’t just for putting into your, pie, muffins or waffles, no no… pumpkin is much more than just food as it also provides many topical benefits.

How you ask?

Well these guys are packed with antioxidants, vitamins (A,C & E) and minerals (like zinc). Pumpkin rejuvenates the skin, while also removing dead skin cells which helps to reduce and protect your skin from age spots and other skin discolorations as well as wrinkles or fine lines.

Of course you have heard me mention numerous times about the benefits of honey for your skin, and adding it to this recipe was a no brainer. Honey helps to hydrate, soften, and even lighten the skin. Plus I never feel like I need to put an oil (aka my “moisturizers”) on afterwards due to the hydration feeling. 😃 (Check out my oatmeal honey mask for more benefits on honey and yogurt).

Eggs are a newer item I have started incorporating into some of my masks. The whites are a natural astringent that help to tighten as well as tone the skin, great for anti-aging masks, while the yolk helps to add nourishment.
