Today was such a beautiful day! Windy, but beautiful! Being outside with all the beautiful plants got me thinking about how happy I have become having a plant based diet. I feel better internally & externally, my face has been so clear I hardly ever wear makeup (only for special occasions). But then my focus started shifting on the plants themselves, I bet that they were enjoying this beautiful sunny day as well. Soaking in all that raw energy and using it for photosynthesis, but what is the chemical that absorbs the solar energy….well that’s what we are going to talk about today! For our Wholesome Tuesday I am going to fill you in on the plants & their …blood if you will. I say blood because chlorophyll is pretty much green blood.

Chlorophyll is very similar in molecular structure to the heme oxygen-carrying red pigment in our blood. The difference is that it contains elements of iron heme molecule in the middle, while the chlorophyll molecule, oxygen-carrier also contains magnesium. Chlorophyll is a powerful generator oxy for people: assimilation by eating plants that contain allow oxygen efficiently with blood.

When we eat/drink chlorophyll we are giving our blood a mini transfusion! Chlorophyll has so many benefits that have scientific studies to back it up! And was once used in the medical field before WWII, you know before the big pharma came along and started pushing their products. Back to the point Ashleigh…. Ok so the benefits here we go:

Ok and last on my list is….chlorophyll binds with heavy metals & removes them from the body fairly quickly!! Now with all this talk about the flu & “how everybody needs to get the vaccine”, whatever that’s your choice. I am only here to educate….and am saving that topic for next month. (oh you just wait…ashleigh come on now…to the point…) yes yes the point…should you choose to get any vaccine I highly encourage you to eat/drink as much chlorophyll as possible literally right after. Reason being is that every vaccine contains aluminum & mercury, why?? Because without aluminum the body would just push the vaccine out because its foreign …a disease and too much other shit. The aluminum is so heavy that it keeps the vaccine in the body long enough for it start flowing into the blood stream and do it’s thing. The mercury?? well that is a preservative. So by taking chlorophyll after you are mitigating the effects the metals will have on your precious temple (body).

Now to the FUN part…how to eat the chlorophyll! Yeay!! You can either juice or eat whole your green veggies! The plants and veggies that contain the highest amounts would be:

  • Wheat Grass
  • Barley Grass
  • Wild blue-green algae
  • Spirulina
  • Chlorella
  • Leafy green veggies (broccoli sprouts, chicory, dandelion greens, endive, kale, lettuce, mustard sprouts, parsley, rocket, spinach, turnip greens & watercress.)

Juicing is a quick way to get much more than just chlorophyll in! I would recommend drinking your greens at least once a day or for those of you that are new to the health side…once a week & slowly get into a once a day routine. There is also a tasty drink you can make that is just 55% coconut water 45% chlorophyll….yum!!! There are also chlorophyll supplements you can take that should be in your local health food store.
